I’m a worrier I’ll admit but it is something I am trying to work on. When I reflect on that verse in Philippians a word that sticks out to me is “thanksgiving.” I think when we’re approaching God we always need to come with a voice of gratitude. The fact that we’re breathing and able to approach Him is reason enough to give praise. I’m sure we each have so much to be grateful for that we over look. While my job is stressful (ugh daily deadlines) I thank God for it every day in the same breath before I’m ask Him to get me through task A.), B.), C.), and D.).
It’s funny how God will use other people to speak to you. I don’t remember the exact conversation but I do know that last time I went to the hair salon my beautician said simply, “He’ll never give you more than you can bear.” The words were so simple, but so uplifting and encouraging. So if a lots on your plate I think it’s an honor because God knows you can handle so much. A recent verse I’ve started to carry with me into work is “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22
