A Few Things I've Learned...

After my year-long journey, I've discovered some awesome truths I think you can apply to any situation or stumbling block you're dealing with. 

1.)    As our relationship with God strengthens, our desire to do other things weakens.

2.)    God wants our whole hearts, and for us to submit every area of our lives to Him. I.e. dating life, social life, etc.

3.)    There is freedom in boundaries. God isn’t punishing us with restraints but protecting us from harm. Think Adam and Eve in the Garden, they had all those trees to eat from…

4.)    Any intimacy you had with God that you feel was lost can be restored. Maybe it takes a lifestyle change to get that thing that was distancing you guys out of the way. And when you do make that change, you'll feel tighter than ever to God. (I liken our relationship to Bonnie and Clyde!)

5.)  God has our best interests at heart, we may not see it right away but in time we’ll be so grateful we followed Him. I know I am.
